Julie is a skilled business litigation attorney with extensive experience in complex disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Julie was a commercial litigation attorney for one of the 100 largest law firms in the U.S., handling a wide range of matters including breach of contract, business torts, business ownership disputes, consumer protection, intellectual property, employment, real estate, construction defect, professional negligence, and attorney ethics. She achieved successful settlements and trial outcomes for her clients. Julie also previously owned her own law firm, where she provided outside general counsel and litigation advisory services. She began her legal career as a staff attorney at the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, where she gained experience in attorney ethics and discipline matters.

  • On trial team that won over $30 million judgment after four-week jury trial in complex litigation for owner of a power plant regarding improper maintenance and operations.
  • Negotiated dismissal of all claims against client in a consumer protection action based on strength of legal arguments contained in motion to dismiss.
  • Local litigation counsel for both owners and contractors in mechanics’ lien and construction defect matters involving several large commercial real estate projects.
  • Provided outside general counsel and litigation advisory services, including successful case management for a large client engaged in multi-state and multi-year commercial litigation.
  • Successfully defended law firm client in malpractice and quiet title claims arising from transfer of client property to law firm in payment of legal fees owed
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of small business in employment and wage dispute case by demonstrating ambiguity of plaintiff’s claims
  • Awarded money judgment at trial in favor of law firm client in fee dispute case
  • Successfully defended client who provided national litigation management services against unauthorized practice of law charges
  • Served as appellate counsel on behalf of petitioners seeking access for an oil and gas pipeline
  • Successfully represented women’s rodeo promoters in commercial dispute over event access.
  • Provided over 125 hours of pro bono work in support of prisoner’s rights litigation through the Faculty of Federal Advocates.
