On this year’s ballot, Coloradans face a critical question: should the state make significant changes to its election process?

Proposition 131 aims to introduce top-four primary elections and ranked-choice voting for various offices in Colorado, including the U.S.

Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, governor, and state legislature, while excluding the presidential election and some local races.

Supporters and opponents alike recognize that this measure could diminish the influence of political parties, but they differ on whether this shift would be positive or negative.

So, what exactly does the measure do? You can read FGMC analysis on Prop. 131 here.
