Brian Proffitt focuses his practice in the areas of hospitality law, commercial litigation, and related commercial transactions. Brian provides alcoholic beverage licensing and regulatory compliance advice to restaurants, bars, night clubs, breweries, wineries, distilleries, and other retail outlets throughout Colorado. Brian also advises business owners in the hospitality industry to assist them with the diverse and complex regulatory issues found throughout the Front Range, mountain communities, and Western Slope’s many municipalities and communities. Brian’s litigation practice goes hand-in-hand with his licensing and regulatory work by assisting clients in a host of issues including landlord-tenant disputes, mechanic’s lien disputes, and general commercial issues.
A native of Missouri, Brian spent his childhood vacations on Colorado’s slopes. It was his love of downhill skiing and the Colorado outdoors that brought him to the University of Colorado School of Law. Brian lives with his wife and fellow bar member, Marlo Greer-Proffitt, and daughters, Mackenna and Evangeline, in the Denver area.
